Archaeological Excavations at 810 Royal Street
When an over-200-year-old building at 810 Royal Street collapsed in 2014, University of New Orleans Anthropology professor Ryan Gray and his students gained access to the site to conduct archaeological digs. This exhibit explores the artifacts found during two seasons of excavations conducted by UNO’s summer field school in archaeology and gives important insights into life in the Colonial era city.
