Medal for Saint Andrew

St. Andrew is the patron for many maritime related occupations, as well as for single women and happy marriages. St. Andrew is often accompanied by the X-shaped cross on which he was martyred, and his popularity in syncretic religions like Haitian Vodoun is sometimes attributed to the doubling of the Christian cross could for the crossroads or for the Bakongo dikenga, the cosmogram that symbolized the connection between the spirit world and the world of the living.
